THE ROTARY CLUB and INNERWHEEL CLUB of West Cagayan de Oro had joint activities and both Clubs were present to make the 7th Oro Open Golf Tournament at Pueblo de Oro a success. It truly was! Although the grand prize an Isuzu Crosswind, a beatiful prize for a hole in One, did not go to any golfer. P.P Noel Nalzaro, was the Chairman for the event last July 27, 28, 29 and 30 and the Innerwheel members as usual, gave their support by their presence and had a table to make a little fundraising by selling Cagayan made products.
It was shooting two birds with one stone. Meanwhile, the Innerwheel Club traveled to upper Dansolihon for "TUBIG SA BARRIO" a yearly tradition funded by National Innerwheel Clubs of the Philippines. This has been ongoing since we chartered Innerwheel and was very appreciated by the different barrios that we have helped.
Potable water is needed especially by the residents because their sources have been invaded by commercial subdivisions. President Raquel Villanueva, IPP Geraldine Borja, PP Remy Esperitu, PP Joyce Calo, Marilyn Mercado and his writer, PP Nena had a very fulfilling day because we brought food to the Barrio lads that helped us in the project. Daday, the official photographer of the Rotarians and Innerwheel owned the rest house and the farm where we rested. Thanks Daday!
