German firm makes waste disposal offer. A GERMAN-Filipino consortium offered to run Cagayan de Oro's garbage collection, giving the City another option to modernize its waste management program and fully comply with the law that requires environmentally sound waste disposal. Juergenz Lorenz, head of the consulting arm of the Environment Dynamics Corporation (EDC), said the firm is willing to put up a solid waste depot that does not use expensive machineries and at the same time generate employment and revenues for the local government.
